The key overall objective of the Cleaner/Porter is the successful maintenance of building cleanliness, including common area cleaning, exterior cleaning/curb appeal, amenity upkeep, assisting with or performing minor work orders, assisting the management team with move in and move out processes, and promoting a positive living environment for our residents.
About the role
The Cleaner/Porter is responsible for:
Daily Cleaning:
- Lobbies, amenity areas, and main office suite.
- Weekly vacuuming of hallways.
- As-needed carpet cleaning.
- Ground floor common area glass, including windows and mirrors.
- Routine freshening of rentable amenity areas; post-event inspection for damages/charges.
- Exterior walks to pick up litter in parking areas, building exteriors, and outdoor amenities.
Suite Turnover:
- Follow established checklists to ensure suites are ready for the next occupant, including but not limited to:
- Removing items left behind.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all rooms and touchpoints.
- Cleaning appliances inside and out.
- Cleaning cabinetry inside and out.
- Cleaning and mopping flooring.
- Cleaning window interiors, and both interior and exterior balcony/patio entrances.
- Cleaning baseboards and windowsills.
- Addressing other general cleaning tasks.
Other Tasks:
- Assist Building Technicians with light maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Moving appliances.
- Replacing/updating batteries and door locks.
- Providing vendor access.
- Handling minor work orders.
On weekends, provide move-in/move-out assistance to residents, including but not limited to:
- Receive resident transfer from Leasing.
- Initiate first contact from Management to the new resident.
- Assist with pre-move-in questions.
- Provide a supplemental tour if requested.
- Create and send a welcome letter.
- Schedule elevator access.
- Meet the resident on move-in day to provide keys, a refresh tour, and perform the move-in walkthrough checklist.
- Receive and reply to the notice to vacate form.
- Request 24-hour notice for walkthrough.
- Perform an initial walkthrough, taking photos and documenting damages.
- Coordinate elevator access for move-out day.
About you
You have:
- Driver’s license and own transportation,
- Experience in cleaning is as asset.

- High level of communication skills.
