Parkland Regional Library is hiring a Clerk Driver on a full-time/permanent basis.
Clerk drivers drive throughout the region in the library van delivering and retrieving library materials in totes at the 54 branch libraries. Half the week is spent on the road driving and half of the week is spent at the headquarters building sorting books.
Required qualifications:
Sufficient physical strength to lift and safely move containers up to 35 lbs throughout the day
Valid driver's license and acceptable drivers abstract
Ability to assess driving conditions for safety
Effective communication and customer service skills; organizational skills, flexibility
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Criminal records check including vulnerable sector check required
