Coordinates the provision of meals on Wheels services to recipients in the community. Liaises with home care Case
Coordinators around clients admitted to the program, inputting recipient requests for services into the applicable
database, ordering the meals from the Dietary department, and preparing meal schedules and route sheets for the use
of the volunteers. Primary contact for volunteer community groups and works with various community-based
organizations to ensure the ongoing supply of volunteers in the program.
The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry check and
Adult Abuse Registry check, and adhere to all Northern Health Region policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Completion of post-secondary education in the area of business administration or social services. A combination
- Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel the Region year-round
- Thorough knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Power Point,
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to speak an Indigenous language is an asset, preferably Cree, Dene or Michif
- Respects and promotes a culturally diverse population
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and independently
- Ability to format and draft correspondence, forms, reports and proposals.
- Strong organizational skills and able to manage and prioritize workload
- Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
