St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake (SJGHEL) is seeking a Clinical Informatics Leadto join our leadership team. The role will be reporting to the VP – Quality and Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Executive (CNE). The Clinical Informatics Lead provides subject matter expertise at all stages of the system life cycle, translates clinical requirements, leads, and contributes to project planning. The individual will promote the integration of information technologies and clinical practice change initiatives that automate and/or enhance evidence-based clinical practices, access to patient/client information and clinical documentation via Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and other related clinical and administrative applications that support end-users and the delivery of safe and quality patient care.
The successful candidate must have a College diploma or University degree in a regulated healthcare profession and hold a current registration with a regulatory body, in good standing. The successful candidate must also have a minimum of five (5) years current practical experience working in a hospital setting in a regulated health professional role. Experience with implementation of clinical systems and/or project management of clinical systems is preferred.
