Reporting to our Mental Health Director, we are seeking a Clinical Team Lead with strong leadership and clinical skills, to enhance the well being of our clients, and our team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality client care and implement best practices and guidelines to ensure that clinical standards are maintained
- Function as both a clinical lead and therapist within a multidisciplinary team and provide consultation on complex cases
- Provide clinical oversight and support for Clinical Team, including but not limited to; Psychologists, Clinicians, Behaviorists, Recreation Therapists and Cultural Support
- Lead clinical meetings and relay pertinent information to Clinical Team members in a timely manner
- Provide direct clinical support services, including screening, assessment, intervention and crisis assessment, counseling, therapeutic intervention, consultation, knowledge transfer and treatment services
- Demonstrate ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and practice within the standards of their licensing and regulatory body
- Maintain excellent communication and effective working relationships with Mental Health Director, patients, providers, clinical and administrative team
- Various research initiatives
Requirements:
- A minimum of a master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology. Registered, or eligible to be registered, with the N.S. Social Workers, or Psychological governing and licensing Board.
- Experience working with children and youth and/or openness to be trained to provide services to children and youth considered an asset
- Experience working with autism spectrum disorder considered an asset
- Ability to speak Mi’kmaq considered an asset
- Knowledge of Traditional Mi’kmaw approach to Health and Wellness also considered an asset.

Term: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
