RoadSafetyBC is the lead provincial agency for road safety and is responsible for setting strategic direction and establishing a provincial approach to road safety throughout British Columbia. RoadSafetyBC regulates drivers and operates a number of programs to help regulate the safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles in B.C.
The Assurance Administrator is responsible for managing and reviewing all financial transactions by RoadSafetyBC to ensure compliance with Core Policy and Ministry Directives. This position manages the flow of documents and transactions throughout the procurement cycle, in support of contract managers and branch executive.
Job Requirements:
  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
  • Completion of related training which may include contract/procurement management courses, iExpense courses, and/or expense authority courses.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience with accounts payable.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience reconciling financial transactions.
  • Experience using a computerized financial system such as Corporate Accounting System (CAS), QuickBooks, Sage, etc.
  • Experience in word processing, spreadsheets and other standard computer applications.

Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with a finance/accounting team or accounts payable/receivable office.
  • Intermediate level experience with MS Excel, Word and Adobe.
  • Completed or in the process of completing a certificate or higher in accounting.

This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to five (5) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established.
