Job Summary

Take the next step in your administrative career

Provide coordination support to the BC Geological Survey in the Mines Competitiveness and Authorizations division. This position will coordinate office administration functions, and financial support services and coordinate the day to day priorities of the Directors, including providing liaison with ministry executive offices.

Job Requirements:

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
• 2 years experience providing administrative and financial support services for a group of staff.
• Experience providing contract or procurement administration such as preparing documents, tracking expenditures and monitoring for renewals or extensions, etc.
• Experience processing invoices, purchase and/or credit card and/or petty cash reconciliation while ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office computer applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Preference may be given to candidate with:
• Post secondary school education related to the administration/clerical field.
• Experience booking and scheduling travel arrangements.
• Experience with records management, preferably using ARCS/ORCS.
• Experience with electronic order management (preferably with iStore/CAS).
• Experience providing project management support services.
