What is the opportunity?
As a Cloud Security Developer, you will be responsible for the DevSecOps areas of public cloud adoption by designing and developing innovative solutions around governance, vulnerability scanning, monitoring, and daily security and compliance efforts to help the organization shift left while simultaneously improving the developer experience.
What will you do?
- Build the preventative and detective controls/measures according to RBC’s cloud control objectives while using modern automation, config as code and TDD principles to bring reliability
- Build automated reporting and monitoring solutions to provide feedback to the developers and help them shift left and recognize security gaps early
- Build automated scanning and alerting solutions for security coverage across environments and identifying gaps
- Communicate and collaborate with application developers to remediate security vulnerabilities for their applications and/or resources
- Communicate and collaborate with the security architects to identify security gaps and come up with solutions to remediate them
- Work with various vendors to develop integrations between their offerings and RBC infrastructure while adhering to RBC’s compliance standards
- Brainstorm and collaborate with the team members to come up with innovative ideas and experiment with new tools and technologies
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- Knowledge of cloud computing
- Drive to learn and experiment with new tools and technologies
- Leadership skills to own and lead an initiative from start to end
- Proficiency with Python or other programming languages
- Ability to design and build CI/CD system with multiple components
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform
Nice to have:
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Knowledge of containers and containerization tools and platforms
