The CMMS Business Systems Specialist provides comprehensive analysis and oversees the documentation, training, system development and reporting of business requirements for the department's operational activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (InforEAM now Hexagon). This position is responsible for the implementation of all upgrades and system patches in the CMMS and is the subject matter expert (SME) for the centralization and sustainment of all business units building based assets as they are loaded and maintained in the CMMS. Primary Duties include: 
  • Extract data and compile reports to Facilities Leads, Coordinators,Managers and ALT for OneCalgary and Council. 
  • Complete employee system access and set-up. 
  • Development, system programming, design, and customizations. 
  • Complete system testing for all upgrades and patches in all environments(production, test, train, development). 
  • Identify where changes are warranted including enhancements and streamlining processes. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into CMMS by Facilities employees. 
  • Provide design requirements for new customizations and configurations to meet business needs (creating, maintaining, and editing SQL - Structured Query Language - queries for Application Support to load to all environments). 
  • Coordination with Application Support on upgrades, and changes in CMMS and communicate with all users for implementing upgrades and/or changes. 
  • Conduct data audits to identify where users require additional training. 
  • Develop training manuals, SOPs, modules, and curriculums using programs such as UAP Ancile/Articulate 360/LMS Sum Total. Provide documentation and support for all system users. 
  • Review all training material through LMS on a regular basis. 
  • Create, deliver, and manage reports as requested from all Facilities divisions. 
  • Conduct large group in-class training (during implementation phase) for all users in the CMMS. 
  • Complete comprehensive upload templates of all new buildings to load into InforEAM aligning with CCOM hierarchy. 
  • Collaborate with Managers, Coordinators on BU initiatives to ensure consistency and continuity with CMMS. 
  • Provide direction to consultants regarding implementation decisions. 
  • Lead discovery meetings with all SMEs to identify gaps in CMMS processes/procedures. 
  • Identify needs and system benefits for end-users and implement integrations identified by management to help with BU efficiencies and reporting. 
  • Provide direction to consultants and execute integration plans and monitor progress. 
 
Qualifications 
  • A completed 2 year diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field and at least 5 years' experience in application support and supporting enterprise applications OR; 
  • A degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field and at least 3 years¿ experience in application support and supporting enterprise applications. 
  • Proficiency with PowerBI, Data warehouse, Content Server, Archibus, LMS and PeopleSoft is required. 
  • Strong communication skills in order to explain technical information to non-technical systems users.

Compensation: Pay Grade 10 $40.08 - $53.57 per hour 
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day 
work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle. 
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
