What You’ll Do

Gyptech is seeking a CNC Boring Mill Operatorto join our team. Your role will involve:

· Set up and operation of CNC milling machines to manufacture plates and weldments to engineering blueprints for custom industrial equipment

· Verify conformance of machined work to specifications, using measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, etc

· Study machining instructions, work orders, and drawings to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequence of operations, set-ups, and tooling requirements

· Select cutting tools according to machining instructions

· Observe boring operations to detect malfunctions

· Lift work pieces onto worktables either manually or with hoists/cranes (up to 50lbs)

· Installing tools and spindles

· Document work performed/completed in job sheets

· Daily housekeeping of work area and maintaining equipment

This position is based out of our manufacturing facility in Oakville. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm with some overtime required.

What You Offer

· Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a CNC Milling machine in a machine shop setting. Post secondary education in General Machining is an asset.

• Proven knowledge and experience of CNC Machining
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective machining of plates and components

· Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings

· Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong work ethic the ability to work independently
