Bermingham Foundation Equipment (SB Canada) is currently seeking 3 Machinists

1 CNC Mill Operator (1 afternoon shift)

2 CNC Lathe Operator (1 afternoon shift, and 1 day shift)

Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the CNC Operators will support the Assembly, Welding, Engineering and Heavy Equipment Mechanics departments. The Employee is required to perform the duties as outlined.

The position will be based out of the Manufacturing site in Hamilton, ON.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION

· Working on various types of equipment

· Support other departments (Assembly, welding, and heavy equipment mechanics)

· Meet outline deadlines

· Setup required equipment

· Working under minimal supervision

· Determine order of operations

· Choose the proper tools and equipment for the task

· Work in team environment

· Operation of;

o manual material cutting equipment

o Manual horizontal lathe and various mills (vertical/horizontal/universal)

o CNC mill

· Use of various hand tools

· Lifting up to 50lb

· Overtime available

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

· High school diploma required

· Red Seal Certification of Qualifications an asset

· Minimum 2 years’ machining experience in relevant manufacturing environment

· Practice safety procedures at all times

· Strong machining background in non-production environment

· Programming background (not required)

· Strong problem solving abilities

· Competent in manual and CNC turning and milling

· Ability to follow written instructions

· Positive attitude with strong work ethics, open minded is a must

· Versatilely in G code programming language

· Programming using Mastercam software an asset (not required)

· Understanding of Haas equipment an asset

· Understanding of GD & T an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
