Coffee Roaster

Responsibilities:

As a coffee manufacture’s assistant:

• Assist with bagging and blending of coffee

• Assist in picking & packing of coffee
• Assist the production of canned coffee, drip bag coffee and other products.

• Ensure complete shipping and receiving of orders

• Restock inventory and upkeep warehouse

• Ensure quality control of labeling, packing, and stocking of the product

• Assist with keeping the production area clean and tidy

• Process all orders both online/offline

• Use forklift when necessary

• Assist the roast master with roasting coffee

• Local Deliveries

• Perform other tasks and duties to assist the roast master and production manager

As a Coffee Roaster

Daily/weekly roasting coffee with different roasting profiles.

Daily/weekly perform the maintenance/cleaning of the factory

Cupping/evaluating the quality of green coffee bean and roasted coffee during the time.

Executing the quality control program including roasting procedures; cleaning procedures; in-bounce and out-bounce procedures etc.

• You're comfortable lifting boxes up to 50 pounds at a time, sometimes frequently and throughout the day.

• You're fine with bending, reaching, carrying, standing, and walking throughout the day.

• 1 year experience working in the coffee industry (being a Coffee Roaster/barista experience is a plus!).

• Certification related to specialty coffee such as SCA green bean, SCA roasting, SCA brewing or SCA roasting is a plus.

Schedule:

30-40 hours/ week Monday to Friday; sometime working on the weekend or travelling.
