Collections Associate

Our revolutionary Invoice Funding product allows entrepreneurs to fund their expenses–including marketing and inventory–without giving up cash flow so they can plan for the future. Our Collections Associates work directly with our customers every day to support them in making their payments to Clearco.

As a member of our Collections team, you will directly support in maximizing cash recovery for Clearco by acting with speed, focusing on maximizing recovery, and enforcing our contractual rights.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Contact and follow-up with our delinquent customers to understand their payment issues and reason(s) for delinquency
• Analyze customer bank statements, payment processor reports, and financial statements to estimate business health
• Understand customers' business situations through rigorous questioning while rapport building
• Negotiate alternative payment arrangements with customers, balancing business priorities and their capacity to pay
• Objection handle customer issues and drive to resolution quickly
• Build and optimize procedures to improve Collections Team effectiveness and efficiency
• Collaborate with other teams such as Product, Engineering, Support, Payments, and Sales to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions

You will thrive if you:

• Have 2-4+ years of experience in customer facing roles such as: Collections, Customer Service, Customer Success, Sales, or Finance/Accounting
• Enjoy deal-making and can confidently negotiate, objection handle, and drive a deal to close
• Understand eCommerce sales channels, metrics, and challenges
• Are comfortable reviewing financial statements and other business documentation
• Show extraordinary attention to detail and rigour in analysis
• Want independence and the autonomy to work remotely while achieving results
• Have proficiency with software such as Salesforce, Tableau, Google Suite, and Microsoft Excel
• Manage and prioritize your time and multiple responsibilities; Clearco is a fast-paced workplace, where we look for same-day results while driving towards weekly and monthly goals
• Are a builder and optimizer; Clearco is building for scalability and constantly improving our processes and procedures
