We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Collections Clerk for our Charlottetown office. This position will report to the COO and provide support for the office’s accounting team.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES- Establish positive and professional client relationships;
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients and provide regular updates on account status;
- Update account records, payment statuses, and collection efforts to ensure accuracy and transparency;
- Monitor and manage accounts, payment terms, overdue accounts, and payment plans;
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer payments, reconcile discrepancies, and work with clients to find amicable solutions;
- Assist in establishing effective collection strategies and policies;
- Keep the Accounts Receivable Specialist informed regarding collections issues and provide collections forecasts;
- Process client credit card payments;
- Respond to enquiries from lawyers, staff and vendors in a timely manner;
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a professional customer service role;
- Proven success working in an accounting and collections environment;
- General knowledge/understanding of full cycle accounting is considered an asset;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service;
- High attention to detail and the ability to develop strong client relationships;
- Strong competency in the usage of MS Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Standard;
- Strong organizational and personal skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Cox & Palmer, Charlottetown office provides a competitive compensation and benefits package including:
- Compensation range is $42,000-$55,000 which is determined by experience and qualifications;
