The Fort Vermilion School Division invites applications for the position of Collegiate Explore Director.
The Collegiate School consists of three new facilities within the communities of High Level, Fort Vermilion, and La Crete, that are designed with the intent of helping students graduate with post-secondary courses to develop their futures. The Collegiate Model exposes students to a variety of possible career paths and enables them to jump into the second year of a post-secondary program using college credits earned in high school. To ensure students get the full benefits of the collegiate model, the Fort Vermilion School Division is employing a Collegiate Explore Coordinator for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. Primarily, the Explore Coordinator will bridge the gap between the junior high collegiate curriculum and the K to 6 curriculum.
Duties:
Support teachers in implementing programs to facilitate learning
Analyze style of play on playgrounds
Enhance learning
Provide strategic plans around purposeful play
Explore the elementary curriculum (K-6)
Develop career activities
Qualifications:
Be in possession of, or eligible for, an Alberta teaching certificate
Have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience
Have a minimum of 3 years as an administrator
The ability to travel and demonstrate flexibility of schedule
Work cooperatively as part of a diversified team
Attributes:

Our School Division:
FVSD serves approximately 4,000 students from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds in fifteen well-equipped, safe, and caring schools and a Home Education Center, all located in several Northwest Alberta communities.
