Commercial Cleaner

You are the custodian of a property. You will work closely with the owner of YorkMills property maintenance, the property management office and the tenants. We are looking for someone with a good customer service and communication skills. This job is important for the smooth operation of a property - organization and time management skills are key. There are two roles - a full time and a part time.

Full-time: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm or 8-4pm

Part-time: Saturday and Sunday, 8am - 4pm

• Walk around the property and check for blocked walkways, garbage, ensure good working order. Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs
• Observe the general appearance of the parking lot and walkways. Pick up any garbage, loose debris, cigarette butts or other refuse and dispose of it.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Clean/restock washroom(s), office area, hallways (mop, sweep or power wash as necessary).
• Clean out units upon customer a customer move-out. Confirm if any damage in the unit and if repairs are needed - inform the Client relations manager should any issues be identified.
• Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies
• Snow removal support (seasonal) – ensure walkways are clear from snow and ice in all areas where the customer would have access . *A third party is contracted for snow removal.
• Landscaping support (seasonal) – help maintain the lawn as needed, water the lawn and flowers and remove weeds as needed. *A third party is contracted for lawn maintenance.
• Floor Scrub interior hallway using ride on floor scrubber.
• Follow all health and safety policies.
• Inspect fence along the outdoor storage area.
• Keep maintenance binder up to date (i.e. contacts, site codes, sign in worksheets for contractors, inventory list and all other necessary information.)

Experience:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred,
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.55-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
