This role will work within the Commercial Support team to assist Downstream Business Development (BD) with the evaluation, development, and execution of strategic business opportunities.
Key initiatives will include providing support for activities such as opportunity framing, financial modeling, optimizing Transportation and Terminal Service Agreements, preparing business cases, recommendations and presentations for Executive review and investment decisions.
Responsibilities:
Support business case development from early project justification to investment decision readiness
Financial modelling, scenario analysis, and evaluation of alternatives to de-risk opportunities
Support opportunity framing and cross-functional alignment to identify value drivers
Provide support to optimize the transportation and storage portfolio for crude oil, condensate, natural gas, and finished products
Provide value assurance of deal proposals
Develop and sustain relationships with internal partners and external industry networks
Qualifications:
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, commerce, or engineering
3-5 years of work experience in the Oil & Gas (or related) industry
Effective at aligning, collaborating and working across multi-disciplinary teams
Proven understanding of market fundamentals, commodity trading/marketing/logistics, or refining and upgrading processes is an advantage
Understanding of North American infrastructure and market dynamics, commercial competence and financial, economic, and analytical skills
Driven attitude, with a commercial approach to build value-add solutions
Ability to develop and maintain complex commercial models
Valid passport with ability to travel
