We are looking for a Community Engagement and Recruitment Specialist (Healthcare) as part of the Talent Acquisition Team at Medavie Health Service New Brunswick. This incumbent will be a brand ambassador for Medavie Health Service New Brunswick, engaging in community events, building relationships with community, associations, schools and other NB stakeholders with the overall objective to uncover and secure top talent for paramedic and nursing positions in NB.
The ideal candidate has a strong track record in relationship management in communities throughout NB, has successfully established connections in healthcare and be passionate, dynamic and highly motivated.
Will be responsible for the development of recruitment-related strategies and promotional materials and building strategic relationships with post-secondary education institutions and other employment organizations in support of diversity and Recruitment goals and initiatives.
Major responsibilities include:
  • Execute business development strategies by building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective community and healthcare partners, industry professionals, networking groups, schools and programs for the purposes of pipeline development
  • Represent Medavie Health Service New Brunswick at community events in NB both virtually and onsite including; Job Fairs, conferences, healthcare summits, school events and participate in public speaking engagements
  • Partner with Branding Teams to implement comprehensive brand strategies aligned with recruitment goals, and resonating with paramedic and nursing talent in NB
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights
  • Analyze reporting, metrics, & recruitment analytics that facilitate the growth of talent pipelines
  • Continually source for clinical talent in NB utilizing online and social channels to enhance the process and create sustainable attraction strategies
  • Utilize various recruitment channels, including online job boards, social media, industry events, and networking, to source potential candidates
  • Partner with internal stakeholders regularly to understand business objectives and staffing goals
  • Effectively forecast staffing to ensure proactive recruitment strategies that increase organizational effectiveness and decrease service risk
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact through the interview process to offer acceptance and gather feedback from candidates and hiring teams to continuously improve recruitment process
  • Utilize recruitment technology to maintain effective recruitment processes, track candidate progress and document outcomes (we use Workday)
  • Adhere to recruitment KPIs by ensuring proactiveness, quality of hiring, accuracy and efficiency of recruitment efforts
  • Travel within New Brunswick will be required regularly
Qualifications
  • Completion of post-secondary education in the field of Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • Bilingual, English and French is required
  • A minimum of 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience preferred within a medium to large organization
  • In-depth knowledge of social media best practices, processes, trends, and tools
  • Experience in business development/relationship management in healthcare, with the proven ability to manage multiple strategic searches and client relationships
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Self-starter – entrepreneurial
  • Extensive experience with Applicant Tracking Systems; Workday preferred
  • Knowledgeable with using LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing candidates and building talent pools
  • Prior experience in managing all recruiting lifecycle components, including sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, offer negotiation, and closing
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Benefits and Compensation as it relates to offering a total rewards package to candidates
  • You need a strategic mind and the ability to contribute to thinking outside of the box in relation to future talent sourcing solutions
  • Delivering a responsive and consultative approach to managing the recruitment needs and experiences to community partners, Leaders and candidates
  • Resourceful, systematic and the ability to work under pressure with competing priorities with a variety of technologies and sourcing strategies concurrently
  • You must be able to develop a strong understanding of company culture and aspirations, and be willing to become a champion for company vision and values
