I have been supporting an active autistic young man in the community for the last few years and will be going part-time soon. This young man is very active but needs support, an advocate and someone who believes in him. We hike, swim, golf, go-cart, go to museums and explore all parts of the lower mainland either by car or by transit. He is also working with an agency to find work, which you will be part of implementing.
He requires a Support Worker to do between 2 - 5 days per week or two Support Workers to share the shifts. The position starts as soon as possible when the right person is found. He would prefer a male Support Worker but isn't opposed to a female Support Worker
This young man has an incredible sense of humour, likes to listen to music, is interested in museums, learning and loves to have fun. He is interested in trains and train museums, being in nature and having someone who likes to talk.
This young man is wanting someone that young at heart, loves to have fun and has a great sense of humour. This is a must. If you are looking for part-time work and want to hang out with a cool guy who needs support (and get paid while you are having fun) then please consider this position and email me and let me know who you are and why you would like to do this
This is not a caregiver role, he doesn't need to be cared for, but supported. It would also be helpful if you lived near the North Shore as there is driving involved.
Please include the reasons why you think you are a fit for this position.
