The incumbent will employ professional life support skills to provide pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical treatment. The paramedic assesses patient condition in order to formulate a treatment plan and to initiate emergency interventions and non-emergency care to provide optimal patient wellbeing. This work is carried out in environments where there is limited medical support.

Essential Qualifications
- Current PCP license;
- Considerable experience delivering pre-hospital medical care at the Primary Care Paramedic level
- Considerable experience working in an emergency ambulance service;
- Experience completing assessments and implementing out- patient medical care plans;
- Training in conflict management is considered an asset;
Emergency Medical Responders may be considered as under-fills for this position. Any candidates must hold current EMR certification and licensing.

Conditions of Employment: Medical clearance, security clearance including vulnerable sector, CPR-HCP, current valid certification; class 4 driver’s licence, Primary Care Paramedic certification and licence;
Job Requirements: Shift work including weekends, wearing a uniform, and maintaining all conditions of employment.
