Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
A Community Safety Clerk provides clerical and administrative support services for the Community Safety Department including direct communication with the public, external agencies and other clients.
Duties - Union
- Receives, records, responds to and/or refers enquiries and complaints; investigates and resolves customer queries.
- Creates, inputs, updates, and maintains various paper and electronic records, including website updates, computer reports and Service Requests, in support of Community Safety operations or referral to other City departments and external agencies.
- Provides administrative support, including booking appointments and ordering of supplies.
- Completes financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable, receivable and credit card items.
- Displays a working knowledge of bylaws, procedures, policies, court processes and the Local Government Act.
- Researches and compiles information, develops, organizes, and maintains department filing and bring forward systems.
