Community Services Coordinator

The Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove is currently looking for a qualified individual to join our professional team to expand and develop our recreation and community engagement services.

This is a full time-permanent, non-bargaining unit position which reports to the Town Manager/Clerk of the Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove.

Position: Community Services Coordinator

Salary Range: $52,850 - $$65,000 (starting salary dependent on education & experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary functions of the Community Services Coordinator will include:

§ Recreation, leisure and event programming

§ Communications and engagement activities

§ Recreation and cultural facilities management

SCOPE OF DUTIES

The scope of duties and responsibilities of the Community Services Coordinator include:

§ Develop, review, manage and monitor the Town’s Recreation & Cultural Services budget

§ Oversight of seasonal recreation staff

§ Development & implementation of recreation and leisure activity programs, community events, seasonal programs, day camps, Festival of Friends, etc.

§ Manage all recreation and cultural facilities

§ Manage and enhance Town communications (website and social media)

QUALIFICATIONS

§ Minimum of 5 years experience in a management or administrative role.

§ Candidates should have post-secondary education in business administration, recreation and Community Services, or equivalent.

§ Experience with budget management

§ Experience with facility management

§ Knowledge & experience in community development, coordination of community events, programs for youth and seniors

§ Excellent communication skills to engage with community residents

§ Strong organization skills to multitask and prioritize projects and events

§ Experience with social media management

§ Knowledge & skills with Microsoft Office

§ Valid Class 5 Drivers License is required, along with a clean drivers abstract.

Salary: $53,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
