Responsibilities


Assigns work to casual and reduced-time Community Shuttle Operators and updates Trapeze OPS (OPS) dispatch.

Updates the OPS Timekeeping and Human Resource system and generates a variety of standard system reports.

Enters and updates Accident and Incident Report data into various systems.

Researches, issues, inputs and extracts daily Coms information using the information system from Customer Information for route, time, direction and Operations information.

Prepares documents, updates OPS, and provides information to sign-up reps and Operators during employee signup of regular work and annual vacation for full-time and reduced-time Community Shuttle Operators.

Coordinates training and conducts Operator Orientation sessions for new Operator classes.

Coordinates uniforms for Community Shuttle Operators.

Performs a variety of administrative functions within the department. Performs related duties as assigned, such being items of a minor nature that do not affect the value of the job.

Qualifications


Requires completion of Grade 12 including courses in computer software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets and databases) and use of web based systems.


Requires one (1) year of previous office experience utilizing a range of manual and computerized files and record keeping functions and the ability to work independently. A further period of up to six (6) months in the job is required to become familiar with corporate policies and procedures, office routines and requirements, applicable CMBC software and to gain a working knowledge of the UNIFOR collective agreement governing Community Transit Service operators work assignments and pay, National Safety Code (i.e. time requirements between shifts, consecutive hours off and total elapsed time on road).

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

This is a casual position. The hours are not fixed and may vary depending on the assignment.

This position works predominately on-site.

Rate of Pay


Salary $5,007 -$6,008 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
