The Municipal Works Department is seeking dependable and reliable students to join their team for the 2024 Summer!
About the Role: Collecting data is key when it comes to making decisions related to asset maintenance, replacement, and upgrades. As the successful candidate, you will collect condition data for various assets such as traffic signs and sidewalks throughout the City. You will also collect traffic data using specialized equipment which will help determine current traffic patterns and help predict future traffic trends in the city. This means programming & downloading data from automatic traffic counting units, working with excel/word processing programs, and updating mapping software and infrastructure inventory.

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Current Class 5 Driver's License with an acceptable driving record (6 demerits or less).
- Experience with GIS, high school drafting and/or AutoCAD is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and reliable
- An equivalent combination of management approved training and experience may be considered
