THE ROLE

The Concession Stand Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverage offerings to guests while taking receipt of payment. The Stand Attendant is also tasked with opening and closing duties, as well maintaining the general upkeep of their assigned Concession Stand location throughout the hours of service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures concession stand is stocked with proper food, beverage, and product before and during events
  • Maintains appearance and cleanliness of concession stand and food service areas during event
  • Replenishes food and beverage product during event
  • Adheres to all alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines including checking guests’ identification
  • Maintains knowledge of menu items and all other offerings
  • Provides an elevated level customer service, anticipating guests’ needs
  • Breaks down and cleans food service areas and equipment post event; returns equipment to proper storage area
  • Inventories product at the end of each event
  • Maintains a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to Legends' safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Smart Serve certification and a minimum age of 18 to serve, as per the Province of Ontario.
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of customers and take direction.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Location: On Site

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands to finger, and handle controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and stoop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
