Tower Arctic Ltd. is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost Arctic civil constructors, typically acting as a general contractor completing heavy civil and municipal infrastructure projects within Nunavut since 1946. Our self-performed services range from buried water & sewer infrastructure, drainage systems, earthworks/grading, road building, aggregate production, and many other civil tasks. To help us achieve this, Tower Arctic Ltd. is currently seeking a Concrete Truck Operator / Concrete Lead Hand to join our team and lead the execution of civil construction works in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
We are searching for a driven and ambitious individual to manage multiple projects on a 6 week in, 1 week out turn around schedule. Ottawa Ontario is the hub for travel to and from Iqaluit, with daily 3 hour long non-stop flights. This position can pay over $3,000.00 per week depending on experience and hours worked, in addition TAL covers all air fare and accommodation costs whilst travelling between home and work. After your daily work shift, you will be given accommodations either within one of our staff houses or our new modern camp facility, with all meals provided by TAL. We do not confine our staff to their accommodations whilst off duty in the evenings, but we do adhere to acceptable behavior policies. We encourage active lifestyles and support healthy habits to help you re-charge in the evenings. There is a wide variety of outdoor activities available to you such as hiking, fishing, a Territorial Park or enjoying the local town amenities such as gyms, sports facilities, the aquatic center, or the movie theatre. Job Skills, Qualifications, & Competencies
Required:
· Project experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, and/or utilities construction preferably in a concrete supply capacity
· Understanding of Concrete Supply and Quality Control
- Experience using a RA-85 Mixing Truck, Pro All R-10 Mixer or equivalent
- Experience using a concrete pump
· Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings
· Necessary skills and patience to train, teach and mentor other staff/crew members
· Aspirations and ability to improve, learn, innovate, and continuously grow
· Hands on experience in trades will be an asset

Salary: $2,400.00-$2,600.00 per week
