Position: Construction Helper

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons in renovation projects by providing tools, equipment, and materials as needed, and supporting various tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from our work sites.
- Prepare construction areas by digging trenches, backfilling holes, and compacting earth for renovations.
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures, like scaffolds, barricades, and signage, as required.
- Keep the work site clean by removing rubble and debris during renovations.
- Measure, cut, and assemble construction materials under the guidance of tradespeople.
- Prepare surfaces for renovations by cleaning and ensuring they are ready for work.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by maintaining open communication with team members.
- Follow tradesmen's instructions to mix, pour, and spread materials accurately.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures at all times.
- Maintain and care for construction equipment, cleaning and safely storing it after each work shift.
- Plan and participate in team meetings to discuss progress, resolve issues, and plan upcoming tasks.
Job Requirements
- No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Excellent team player with good English communication skills.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
