Harrison Custom Contracting is a prominent construction company specializing in the development and construction of turnkey homes and cottages in the Orillia-Muskoka region. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various construction tasks, including building decks, docks, bathroom renovations, siding, ICF foundations, framing, and all other jobs required to complete turnkey residential projects to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Versatile Construction Skills: Execute a wide range of construction tasks, including but not limited to building decks and docks, renovating bathrooms, installing siding, constructing ICF foundations, and performing framing work to contribute to the successful completion of turnkey residential projects.

2. Project Coordination: Collaborate with the project manager and other team members to coordinate and execute construction tasks efficiently, ensuring seamless progress and successful project completion.

3. Precision and Quality: Perform all construction tasks with precision and attention to detail, adhering to established quality standards and construction plans to ensure the highest caliber of workmanship.

4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe and secure work environment for oneself, coworkers, and subcontractors. Utilize personal protective equipment as required.

5. Material Handling: Safely handle and operate hand and power tools, including but not limited to saws, drills, nail guns, and other specialized construction tools, demonstrating proficiency and care in their usage.

6. Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving construction-related issues and challenges that may arise, employing effective problem-solving skills to ensure efficient and effective solutions.

7. Time Management: Manage time effectively and efficiently to meet project deadlines, contributing to the timely completion of construction tasks within allocated timeframes.

8. Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment, ensuring that debris and waste materials are promptly and properly disposed of to maintain a professional and safe job site.

9. Detail Orientation: Pay meticulous attention to detail in all construction tasks, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements, cuts, and installations.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in residential construction with a proven track record of successful project completions. Experience in building decks, docks, bathroom renovations, siding, ICF foundations, and framing is highly desirable.

2. Comprehensive Skills: Proficiency in various construction tasks, including carpentry, masonry, siding installation, foundation work, and other related construction skills.

3. Knowledge: Understanding of construction techniques, building codes, and industry standards. Ability to interpret and implement architectural and structural blueprints effectively.

4. Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting heavy materials and working in physically demanding environments while adhering to proper safety protocols and practices.

5. Certification: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Certification in construction or related trades is advantageous.

6. Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and subcontractors to achieve project goals.

7. Professionalism: Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

8. Safety Awareness: Comprehensive knowledge of occupational safety and health practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$39.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
