The Continuous Improvement Specialist will establish and maintain a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture, focusing on customers satisfaction, quality of processes & tools and cost to serve. The candidate will achieve this by deploying a set of CI competencies utilizing department methodology (Lean Six Sigma inspired) and creating transparency to monitor progress. In collaboration with various functional managers, this candidate will assist in leading process improvement projects in Canada within the Electrification Installation products (ELIP) organization.

Your responsibilities

  • Execute the local approach to Continuous Improvement and strategy deployment via L6S. Facilitate best practice sharing within your location in order to continuously improve the best Customer Journey. Work in cross functional teams to execute the strategy and escalate as necessary to remove roadblocks.
  • Develop a common and consistent approach for Continuous Improvement via L6S - facilitate best practice sharing within the organization.
  • Actively promote and collect external and internal customers feedback and ensures they are analyzed and used as a base for defining and following up on improvement actions.
  • Provide support on the deployment and Continuous Improvement of commercial tools used in the area of responsibility.
  • Identify key team member in each function to support in execution of projects within the functions and facilitate coordination of resources as necessary to achieve goals.
  • Be a resource for internal process owner’s Continuous Improvement efforts and stay there until the work can be sustained by their own operation.
  • Provide organization-wide visibility of the current portfolio of Continuous Improvement efforts; track via metrics/KPIs progress and value from these efforts in order to help decision makers allocate resources and recognize success, with special focus on operational cost reduction.
  • Provide training, coaching and facilitation support to individuals and teams so that they are better equipped to drive their improvement efforts for themselves.
  • Drive transformational projects, within the scope of responsibility, with a hands-on (´Gemba´ attitude) and problem-solving approach.

Your background

  • Yellow belt Lean 6 Sigma (Green belt an asset) – candidate must be minimally certified Yellow belt within 30 days of employment if not already certified.
  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 + years of experience in a similar environment.
  • Demonstrated change agent with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Analytical evaluator and data driven.
  • Bilingual; French is required. English is also required as this position will service internal and external clients from other provinces.
  • Motivated, self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Sound knowledge of Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), knowledge of Wrike an asset.
