Contract House Cleaners

Local Vacation Rental Company is seeking an experienced and reliable cleaning company to take over the business of cleaning approximately 35 homes, all located on Westside Road. The successful business candidate must have a team with reliable transport who are able to work weekends and holidays if required. Please note - this is not a sponsored position - potential applicants must reside in Canada and be legally able to work in Canada. Please do not apply if you do not live in the Okanagan area and are not legally able to work in Canada.

Responsibilities will include:

• Performing cleaning duties and maintaining service standards in all properties
• Stripping bed linens and making beds
• Changing bathroom and kitchen towels
• Cleaning the kitchen, including the appliances, sink, dishes and all surfaces
• Cleaning the bathroom, including the tub, toilet, sink and mirrors
• Sweeping, vacuuming and washing floors
• Cleaning all mirrors, wash interior ground level windows and deck glass
• Restocking the unit and reporting any damages
• Doing laundry, folding sheets and towels - This is negotiable and can be disussed prior to setting up our contract
• Dusting and general tidying of cottage
• Following all safety and sanitation policies
• Other duties as assigned.

Successful candidate must:

• Be in Kelowna and or Vernon area, and able to commute to Westside Road
• This is not a sponsored position - potential applicants must reside in Canada and legally able to work in Canada
• Be in possession of a driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
• Be flexible and able to work over weekends and evenings (including holidays)
• Provide your own cleaning supplies
• Be able to provide a team of staff large enough to provide cleaning to 30+ properties.

We anticipate 500+ cleanings during the period of time from May to October

Compensation for this job will be either a set price per home, or an agreed upon hourly rate. We are happy to discuss and negotiate payment rates and job expectations.

Job Types: Permanent, Seasonal, Freelance

Salary: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
