Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, a mine under construction in northern Canada and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. B2Gold forecasts total consolidated gold production of between 860,000 and 940,000 ounces in 2024.

Location and Reporting Structure
Responsibilities
- Perform daily surveying tasks including setting up collars, conducting downhole gyro and field surveys, gathering final drillhole coordinates, and evaluating drill sites;
- Generate detailed maps, plans, and reports based on survey data to support decision-making processes and regulatory compliance;
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and other specialized tools to process, analyze, and visualize survey data;
- Provide support for geological and geophysical programs. Establish and maintain a network of skidoo trails to enhance the efficiency and safety of mobile equipment;
- Regularly inspect drill sites to evaluate conditions, collect data, and provide suggestions for improvement; and
- Adhere to B2Gold Nunavut’s health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
Desired Competencies and Requirements
- Five (5) years’ experience in Surveying for drilling exploration programs on remote sites with extreme weather conditions, with preference for those that have work previously in arctic conditions;
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics or Civil Engineering;
- Proficiency in using Total Stations, GPS receivers, 3D laser scanners, and other surveying instruments and software; Familiarity with the Sprint IQ Gyro; and
- Prior experience operating snow machines in extreme weather conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
For informational purposes, the annual earnings for the role is $140,000.00
