This is a temporary contract position to assist with a specific project, so the expected work hours will be flexible and determined by the needs of the project.
Job Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a contract Control System Technician to assist with a electrical generator software integration project. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the integration of CAN-Bus, Mod-Bus, D-Bus, and Node-Red technologies into our AC electrical generator controls. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of these technologies and a proven track record of successfully integrating them to optimize system performance.
Duties:
- Integration Solution Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement integration solutions that seamlessly incorporate CAN-Bus, Mod-Bus, D-Bus, and Node-Red technologies into our AC electrical generator controls.
- System Optimization: Analyze system requirements and develop strategies to optimize the performance and functionality of the Control System through efficient integration.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot integration issues or malfunctions, and implement effective solutions to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of integrated systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with specifications.
- Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation of integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide training and support to end-users and technical staff as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAN-Bus, D-Bus, and Mod-Bus protocols, with hands-on experience in integrating these technologies into Control Systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Node-Red, including experience in designing and deploying automation solutions using flow-based programming.
- Strong background in industrial automation, with a solid understanding of Control Systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree, technical diploma, or demonstrated related experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
