Convenience Store Clerk

Position Summary

The C-Store Sales Clerk is responsible for maintaining a strong presence of customer service for walk in customers at Koch Fuel Products Edgar location. The C-Store Sales Clerk will be responsible for providing friendly, polite customer service while maintaining a clean environment to all customers that come through the door. Various administrative and cleaning tasks will be apart of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the C-Store Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the C-Store Sales Clerk include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide friendly and respectful service to all walk in and phone in customers
• Have the ability to deal with unhappy or angry customers in a respectful way
• Maintain a clean environment for all customers
• Count and balance cash on a daily basis
• Maintain accurate records of all cigarette sales with a balanced reconciliation
• Ensure food is stocked at all times
• Ability to complete all work with constant interruptions
• Assist in reconciling all inventory
• Ability to order all types of product while following procedures
• Clean the c-store floors, windows, washrooms, and showers

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
• Able to communicate effectively (both written and verbal)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Accountable and dependable
• Proficient in using a computer, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality of work
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
• Able to demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks
• Experience with customer service preferred

Expected hours are from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Salary: From $16.00 per hour
