  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Calgary area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.
  • By April 22, 2024, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting).

Summary
The Corporate Accounting Intern at the Calgary Office is required to assist with the Corporate month-end closing process.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of Legal Financial Statements, including analysis of the business transactions and working with other corporate groups to provide financial information as required
  • Working with other corporate groups to provide financial information as required
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks and account reconciliations
  • Prepare standard journal entries, code corrections, and accrual journal entries as required

Knowledge & Skills
The position requires the individual to be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be highly analytical.
The ability to work within tight reporting deadlines
Resourceful with strong organizational skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently but also collaborate with other team members
Education
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting
Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
Experience
Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Open to learning and willing to be a team player
