SalaryWe are looking to add an additional Controls Automation Specialist to the automation team which is rapidly growing.
The successful candidate would be supporting 2 of our plants; 1 in Mississauga and the other in Brampton. The incumbent should be comfortable supporting both facilities. This individual would be reporting to the Automation Manager.
What you will be doing:
- Automation Specialist will provide Controls related support for our Maintenance Department
- Job function is to provide Automation Controls support and Technical Expertise for our Corrugate Plant
- This is a full-time day position with the possibility of emergency support for our 24/5 operations.
Main Job Function:
- Act as subject expert in diagnostics for complex issues that cannot be solved by our internal Electricians.
- Technical Support when machine is down is top priority (24/5)
- Provide cross training to electricians when time permits and or during debugging complex problems.
Ongoing Job Functions:
- Back-ups of; PLC, HMIs and Drives when possible.
- Obtain missing files for assets from OEMs (Programs, Schematics, Parts Lists, Manuals,,, in electronic format)
Education Required:
- Technologist, Engineer, or Electrician with 7 years OEM experience
What you will bring to the table:
- Technologist or Engineer must have minimum of 5 years OEM experience preferably commissioning complex systems with Allen
- Electrician with a minimum of 7 years OEM experience preferably commissioning complex systems with Allen Bradley and
- Candidates with OEM experience (Controls Programming and or Commissioning) is preferred.
- Hardware and Software Experience
- Ideal candidate has experience commissioning complex systems with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs and HMIs
