(FTS/NYSE: FTS) has an exciting opportunity available to join its team in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador as a Corporate Communications Coordinator.
We are inviting applications from dynamic communicators who are passionate about storytelling and thrive in fast paced work environments. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, the successful candidate will work with a small team responsible for the management and maintenance of the Corporation's reputation, identity, and brand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the internal communications function, including managing the intranet, developing content, promotions, and planning special events;
- Prepare presentations, speaking notes, corporate reports, and newsletter content;
- Conduct communications research and develop communications plans;
- Update the organization's corporate website;
- Develop visual assets such as photography, video and other promotional materials;
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written communication and research skills;
- Previous knowledge with graphic design and video editing software;
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to produce high-quality work;
- Highly motivated, with the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in public relations, communications, journalism or related discipline;
- A minimum of 2-3 years' working experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.
