What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a responsive and resourceful Paralegal with a professional attitude and exceptional client service skills to join a Corporate M&A team. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in assisting our lawyers with complex corporate transactions and ensuring the smooth progress of their cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting complex legal documents and agreements related to corporate M&A and tax matters
- Reviewing corporate records and conducting minute book reviews
- Assisting with routine corporate maintenance matters and filings
- Liaising with clients, lawyers, and public officials
- Conducting legal research and interpreting statutes and regulations
- Managing and supervising support staff and assistants
What You'll Bring:
- Strong understanding of federal and provincial corporate statutes and procedures
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in Corporate M&A
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional communication skills with clients and team members
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software
