Guelph Manufacturing has 3 plants in Guelph, Ontario, and our APMF plant in Atlanta, Georgia. Guelph Manufacturing's sales office is located in Warren, Michigan.

We are currently seeking a Corporate Quality Manager

Summary: The Corporate Quality Manager ensures that the organization’s products and services are in compliance with the company’s quality requirements, in addition to complying with customer and regulatory requirements for quality, safety, and reliability.

Accountabilities:

· Monitor adherence to Quality Policy, Procedures and Work Instructions.

· Review and adjust policy and plans as required.

· Develop quality plans for new products.

· Assures quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards and testing materials and products

· Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and customer specific requirements.

· Leads and manages advanced product Quality team

· Responsible for PPAP submission process

· Responsible for Calibration and MSA programs

· Responsible for monitoring quality performance including PPM, customer complaints, cost of poor quality, customer satisfaction, customer scorecard ratings,

· Manages Internal and external audit processes, reports out findings and manages submission of corrective actions if required

· Work with suppliers, employees and customers to improve products and services.

· Supervision and direction to employees in QC Department.

· Collaborates with Plant Managers on activities and performance of plant level quality personnel.

· Provides quality support to the plants

· Develops a quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

· Manages quality assurance staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

· Ensures quality by planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.

· Customer support and problem solving support

· Technical review of proposals, programs and gauging equipment.

· Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

· Collaborates with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.

· Analysis and reporting on performance of Quality Systems.

Requirements:

  • Leadership experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Product management skills
  • Quality and Core Tools processes skills
  • Computer knowledge and skills
  • Preferred stamping and welding industry experience
  • Experience with QA measuring and testing equipment
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience as QA manager/supervisor
  • Working knowledge of automotive quality system requirements
  • Min college diploma, preferred BA or BS in appropriate discipline plus quality and tooling related education
