Couchiching First Nation is seeking knowledgeable individual who has the vision, courage and dedication to employ as the Temporary Membership Clerk. Maintain up-to-date membership database. Respond to requests for information, prepare letters, documents, forms and respond to inquiries and assist individuals in the membership files, coordinate meetings, and prepare reports for Chief and Council. The Membership Clerk will engage the community members on furthering the development of the membership code for Couchiching First Nation

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) and specialized course work in general business practice plus three years’ experience;

• Proficiency with software (Microsoft Office);

• Knowledge and demonstrated ability of office procedures and office equipment;

• Ability to accept direction and work with minimal supervision;

• Proven interpersonal skills;

• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain paper and electronic filing systems;

• Excellent organizational, and administrative skills;

• Demonstrated knowledge of English spelling, grammar and composition;

• Ability to speak Ojibway is an asset;

• General knowledge of community services, customs and traditions;

• Facilitation skills and knowledge on how to engage the membership

• Ability to establish and maintain a data base of members
