Courier Delivery Driver

Mike’s Courier Service is currently seeking an individual for a part time courier driver.

$17 / Hr

Some weekend work during peak time may be required

1-3 days a week January – October

5-6 days a week November & December

Also vacation coverage so some full weeks (Mon-Fri)

The main responsibility of the courier driver is to deliver parcels to households and businesses in New Glasgow.

Eligible applicants MUST:

- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract

- Have a clean criminal record check

- Have excellent knowledge of Pictou County roads

- Be able to lift and maneuver 50lbs at a time

- Take direction and work well in a team

- Have reliable transportation to and from work

- Be able to adapt in a fast paced, time sensitive environment

- Have superior time management skills

- Be able to work independently in a challenging environment

- Be able to focus on the task at hand and work through distraction

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $17.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• Day shift
• On call

Experience:

• delivery: 1 year (preferred)
