Court Reporter

You will be responsible for recording legal proceedings and taking notes of important details during the examinations while ensuring that everything is clear and audible.

If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have strong organizational skills with an exceptional understanding of the English language, both written and verbal. A legal or medical background is an asset, but is not mandatory.

Job Responsibilities:

- Record the examinations, either virtually or in person, with digital recording devices

- Take shorthand notes of important key details

- Proofread transcripts for spelling and grammar

- Set up virtual proceedings on platforms such as Zoom

Skill Requirements:

- Ability to operate digital equipment and virtual platforms

- Advanced spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and grammar skills

- Ideal to have a proficient knowledge of legal and medical terminology

- Excellent communication skills both orally and written

- Attention to detail in all areas of work
