Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence:
- Greet and welcome customers with a friendly and inviting demeanour.
- Provide exceptional customer service, making each guest feel valued and satisfied.
- Educate customers about our delicious dessert offerings and assist in making their selections.
Food Preparation and Presentation:
- Prepare and assemble desserts according to Waffle To Go recipes and standards.
- Ensure the presentation of desserts is visually appealing and Instagram-worthy.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the preparation area.
Sales and Upselling:
- Promote new dessert items and seasonal specials to increase sales.
- Utilize persuasive sales techniques to upsell and cross-sell additional products.
- Work towards achieving daily sales targets and contribute to the store's overall success.
Cash Handling and POS:
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and other payment methods securely and maintain proper records.
- Assist in the opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation.
Maintain Store Appearance:
- Ensure the dessert display is well-stocked and visually appealing at all times.
- Keep the serving area and dining space clean and tidy throughout the day.
- Collaborate with the team to restock supplies and maintain inventory levels.
Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively as part of a cohesive team, supporting colleagues during busy periods.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve overall store efficiency and customer experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a dessert-focused establishment, is a plus but not required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility in working shifts, including weekends and holidays.
