Cross-Border Driver / Freight Associate

We are currently recruiting for a Cross-Border Driver based out of our Head Office located in Winnipeg, Manitoba!

Responsibilities:

• Operate and drive automatic cargo van to transport goods and materials.

• Oversee condition of vehicle and perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection of vehicle and other materials.

• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.

• Operate GPS navigation.

• Receive and relay information. Report any issues or incidents to management.

• Load/unload cargo by hand, using a pallet jack and/or forklift.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, climb steps and balance. Also sit for extend periods, handle tools and controls.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license. Driver’s validity check and/or driving record check (abstract) required.

• Valid passport and legally able to travel cross-border. Criminal record check may be required.

• Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification.

• Weight handing by hand up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

• Excellent communication skills and professionalism in customer service.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift.

• Day shift.

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
