Description

Reporting to the Prevention Director , the Custodian will be responsible for the cleaning of the Prevention Building, which includes pre-function set-up, if asked, and post function clean-up.  The Custodian is responsible for keeping the building clean, safe and functional for the Nations use.  This includes spot washes walls; performs mopping; usage of cleaning equipment/supplies for cleaning; washing, sweeping, stripping, waxing, and polishing a variety of surfaces; services kitchen areas, clean appliances, washroom facilities by washing, replenishing supplies, unstopping sinks and toilets; reporting required repairs immediately; collects garbage and takes to garbage bins; sets up meeting rooms, including setup and program areas set up for meetings ,secures and locks gates and doors of buildings. The Custodian will report need for ordering supplies, maintain the supply room; follow process and policies, complete checklists and other reporting as necessary.  Launders fabric push broom mop heads, monitors heat in buildings and adjusts as necessary, cleans tables and chairs, general touch up to painting.  Picks up supplies as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.    
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
experience with using commercial cleaning products/equipment.
Possession of valid, recognized first aid and CPR certificates.
Possession of valid Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification.
OTHER
Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License and reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to work all shifts, days, evening and weekends as scheduled and be available for on call emergent situations.  
Hours of work will be determined by building usage, must be available on short notice and must have way of contact in emergencies.
