The Revelstoke Mountain Resort Staff Housing Team is recruiting for the position of Custodian. The Custodian will be responsible for taking care of and performing general building and property cleaning. The successful applicant must be efficient at planning and organizing work, be a team player who is responsible and accountable for their own job performance, and who is always willing to help and support their coworkers.
Job Duties
  • Perform regular cleaning of Staff Housing common areas and rooms, as required.
  • Grounds keeping (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep, mow, clean gutters, water).
  • Take general care of all locations, noting their requirements, reporting maintenance etc.
  • Maintain inventories of supplies such as kitchenware, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and work with the Staff Housing Coordinator to ensure all properties are appropriately stocked.
  • Washing and distribution of linens, including but not limited to washing, folding, collecting, sorting, transporting, and stocking.
  • Support the Staff Housing overall operation as required, particularly in onboarding and offboarding seasons.
  • Make minor repairs if able to do so.
  • Waste and recycling disposal as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
  • Valid BC Driving License and clean drivers abstract.
  • A self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
  • Owning a vehicle is preferred but not essential.
Work Conditions
  • Manual dexterity required to use various cleaning apparatus and supplies.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Regular physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, crouching and kneeling.
  • Various indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Interact with management, colleagues, and the public.
  • Driving, from time to time.
