The CVITP Program Assistant is responsible for support of the Program Coordinator of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, which provides free support to low-income individuals who require assistance preparing their annual CRA Income Tax forms
Terms:
* Contract Part-Time (37.5 hr/wk) February 15 - May 31, 2024
* Mon-Fri, with occasional evenings and weekends work required
* NOTE: Schedule is approximate and will be finalized with the successful applicant.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Preferred high school diploma or equivalent. Equivalent knowledge and experience will be considered.
* Attention to detail required, consistency in all documentation required.
* Computer skills are required.
* Experience or willingness to learn about basic Income Tax rules and software
* Experience working in the community sector with diverse groups, including vulnerable populations
* Multi-tasking, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, including cross-cultural awareness and understanding
* Good written, verbal, presentation, listening, and communications skills
