Can-Tech Services is currently looking for a candidate for a Full-Time position in Woodbridge located at Weston Road and Langstaff. The opportunity is as a Cycle Counter on Day shift.
Day Shift– Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Pay Rate – $ 18.25 /hr
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for knowing hardware used in the Assembly Department, as well as monitor quantity and quality of the used parts and production needs. Support Assembly and Inventory department.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Complete daily cycle counting (10 items minimum)
- Report to purchasing/quality department of any shortages or non-conformance parts found through cycle count.
- Provide hardware to assemblers, including the issuing of stock to workbenches and providing kits based on the production schedule.
- Accountable for packaging hardware required to fill orders and claims (i.e. handles, legs)
- Monitor inventory levels and compile reports as hardware is used in the assembly department or transferred within the facilities, using manual or computerized inventory systems.
- Key resource during the quarterly inventory.
- Receive and put away new inventories.
- Maintain shelf labels and associated system location.
- Support Assembly department with either packing or assembling.
- Perform housekeeping duties as assigned to ensure the department is tidy and safe.

- Use equipment, materials, and machinery only as authorized
- Follow general safety rules
- Report on the performance of their workstation including any issues and/or opportunities for improvement involving the quality of product, health & safety and the environment
- Maintain focus on the customer’s needs and expectations
- Apply EHS training knowledge
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of secondary school grade twelve(12) or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and with team members
- Proficient in reading production orders and interpreting drawings and production schedules
- Previous experience as an Assembler
- Basic computer skills
