Our team is organized in product squads, leveraging the best of Lean manufacturing, Agile / Scrum framework and DevOps practices and tools. We are a powerful mix of infrastructure, networking, security, storage, cloud computing, software development experts, supported by a crew of scrum masters and senior managers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data center operations manager for the Hardware Infrastructure team, you will be tasked with the following:
- Lead & support a Data center technician team across the country (no direct reports).
- Manage hardware operational processes in our Data centers.
- Schedule and organize the work.
- Co-ordinate with technicians to troubleshoot network related issues.
- Ensure compliance to Telcordia standard.
- Standardize and Improve processes with the detail engineering team.
- Communicate daily performance using visual management.
- Responsible for cabinet, network equipment & server installation quality.
- Implement corrective actions following root cause problem identification sessions (5 why, PDCA & A3).
- Occasionally lead and/or participate in larger process improvement activities.
- Travel required across Canada – 20%

Key Attributes for the position:

- Strong understanding of datacenter operational processes.
- Good appreciation of Data center infrastructure components and their interdependencies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multifunctional team environment including virtual teams.
- Good understanding of lean manufacturing processes.
- Understands and responds to customer needs with urgency & empathy.
- Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Jira administrator experience is an asset.

Qualifications/Competencies

- 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Data center industry.
- Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or any equivalence
- Data Center Infrastructure Specialist (DCIS)
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in hardware provisioning/installation processes in a datacenter environment.
- Strong time management skills and work ethic to manage multiple accountabilities.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal partners and vendors.
- Embrace change within the same team.
- Must be autonomous and self-motivated.
• In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
