MD Financial Management, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Data Management Specialist – Sales Operations to join our team.
As a Data Management Specialist, you will be responsible for providing reporting and analytics in a data-driven environment in support of regional teams and the sales process.  They are an expert at understanding the data captured in MD’s suite of business tools and how those tools should be used to execute on MD’s practice standard expectations.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
-Apply analytical talent to a rich data environment to build data models and deliver insights about the business. 
-Execute on incoming requests for data, reports, lists from a variety of leaders, advisors, and administrators in support of their work with clients and achievement of their targets.
-Apply privacy and compliance practice requirements to the execution of requests.
-Support the client/advisor transition process by providing advisor book analytics, reassigning clients between advisors and teams, and completing client notifications.
-Deliver frequent reporting to senior leaders in support of MD’s strategy and strategic decision making.
-Collaborate with other data specialists and analysts in providing high quality, relevant data and participating in reviews of analyses.
-Monitor pipeline health in the CRM and support the business planning process with regular reporting to leaders. 
-Understand and identify data quality issues and make recommendations around changes to business process and execute on data cleanups to ensure high data quality.
-Support the development of consistent Data Management practices to improve overall data quality. 
-Influence the direction of the CRM and Tableau report development to support the sales process. 
-Understand the sales cycle at MD and provide data and support in alignment with it.
-Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
-Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
-Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
-Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
The Must Haves:
-Post-secondary education in a related field: Economics, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Analytics, or equivalent work experience 
-2+ years of business experience – must have some experience relating data to business operations, and understand the link between business goals, corporate results, and KPIs. 
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
-Knowledge or experience in the Wealth Management industry is an asset.
-MicroSoft Dynamics and Tableau experience
