Are you excited about forward thinking technology?

If yes, we are looking for a Data Operations Engineer to join our data & analytics that has been leading cutting-edge initiatives for both our customers and our organization. We advocate for a progressive mentality by continuously working with the latest data platforms.

As a Data Operations Engineer you will work on something big, small, super cool and before you can blink 100,000 people will see it. You will see fast wins and fast fails too, that is okay (honestly). It’s all a part of the process.

At our head office in beautiful Vancouver, BC, we practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

Join our team as a Data Operations Engineer!

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct routine system checks and maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation and prevent disruptions.
  • Conduct performance analysis and tuning activities to optimize query performance, data throughput, and resource utilization.
  • Respond promptly to system alerts, incidents, and user-reported issues and follow established incident communication processes during issue resolution.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems across various components of the data ecosystem.
  • Document operational procedures and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.

What we’re looking for…

  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration, Operations Engineering, or DevOps roles, preferably in a data-intensive environment.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and ETL tools like Informatica and MuleSoft.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) for automation, scripting, and tool development.
  • Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Why you’ll love it here:

  • Remote-first work environment
  • Employee discounts on awesome tech from day one
  • Flexible health benefits and wellness program
  • TFSA and RRSP programs
  • 100% matched company pension plan
  • Training programs to build new and transferable skills
